Our team of surveyors have completed a large-scale commercial project delivering measured building survey service and topographical survey for an iconic building in the heart of Edinburgh.
The Stamp Office is a 7 storied classical Georgian building in Edinburgh originally built in 1819. 4 floors are situated above Waterloo Place, and three lower floors overlook Calton Road to the rear.
The Stamp Office has redeveloped some time ago and consists of open plan office accommodation.
Our client required delivery of measured building surveys and as-built CAD drawings to the highest specification and level of detail. Requirements of the survey included the capture of the following elements:
Asābuilt 2D drawings represent the existing state of the office or space in planning format. Getting as-built drawings for the office space is an initial stage before the re-design, development, or construction stage.
The critical element to providing as-built drawings is accuracy. At Edinburgh Measured Survey, we use the latest laser scanning equipment, such as Leica and Faro 3D laser scanners, to make sure we deliver highly accurate and precise 2D drawings and 3D models.
For Stamp Office, we used different survey services and surveying equipment.
We used laser scanners for the measured building survey and roof survey. A total station was used when conducting the topographical survey. This allowed the team at Edinburgh Measured Survey to deliver detailed and high-quality 2D CAD drawings of the internal space, exterior of the building, roof and site plans.
